Large primary care group in Tampa expands Averde's innovative provider network.
West Hartford, CT – Averde Health, an innovative health benefits company offering Consumer Directed Health Plans (CDHPs), announced that Morton Plant Mease Primary Care, with more than 100 primary care providers in the Tampa, Florida area, has joined the Averde network.
Averde, specializing in high deductible, medical plans for employers, launched the first-of-its-kind payment model in Colorado, Texas and Florida and now contracts with more than 20,000 physicians and other providers in those states.
Averde’s innovative model for high deductible plans relieves doctors and hospitals of patient collections work and risk, allowing them to focus on delivering high quality medical care. Averde pays participating providers both the plan and patient portion of the covered service and then collects directly from members so providers don’t have to. The efficiency that comes from eliminating costs associated with collections keeps health care more affordable for employers and members.
